ST. LOUIS – Roll up yours sleeve during The American Red Cross and KSHE95 28th Annual KSHE95 Summer Blood Drive.  Attempt to donate blood on Friday, August 5th and Saturday the 6th and you’ll receive a limited edition KSHE95 t-shirt, be entered into a weekly drawing for a $250 gas card, and receive an opportunity to purchase discounted Rams tickets.

The American Red Cross expects to collect almost 2,500 pints of blood at the KSHE95 Summer Blood Drive.  Because each pint can help up to three people, 7,500 patients could benefit.

“I am a huge KSHE fan and know the need for blood.  My son needed forty units of blood when he was just four years old. ” says KSHE95 listener Steve Shelton of Hazelwood. “I’m thrilled KSHE hosts two big blood drives per year and gives fans a chance to help save a bunch of lives.  I can’t wait to donate”

“The annual KSHE95 summer blood drive follows a critical shortage of blood products,” says Scott L. Caswell, CEO of the American Red Cross Missouri-Illinois Blood Services Region. “We applaud KSHE95 and their listeners for answering the call to help patients in need.”

Call 1-800-RED CROSS or go to redcrossblood.org, sponsorcode KSHE, to schedule an appointment to donate blood, and help save lives at the KSHE blood drive location nearest you.  Potential donors should be 17 years old (16 with a signed American Red Cross parental consent form), meet weight requirements and be in good health.  Donors should remember to bring a picture ID.
