American Red Cross Honors B97.9
Station Honored for Supporting Blood Collection Efforts
The Missouri-Illinois region of the American Red Cross honors B97.9 for their efforts in 2011 to support the mission to help save lives through blood donations.
A plaque delivered by Red Cross Donor Recruitment Representative Tara Lincoln was accepted by B97.9’s C.J. Cruze and Joe Bill Davis. B97.9 was described as an “Outstanding Media Supporter”. The station received the honor after hosting two Red Cross blood drives in 2011.
"The American Red Cross sincerely thanks the staff of B97.9 for their hard work in assisting the Missouri-Illinois region to collect potentially lifesaving blood products,” said region CEO Scott Caswell. “By promoting the need for blood and sharing the important message of the Red Cross, B97.9 has played a major role in helping us reach out to potential blood donors. The support of B97.9 is greatly valued and appreciated."
The Red Cross looks forward to continuing blood drive initiatives with B97.9.
