BODIES…The Exhibition Hosts Blood Drive July 17
Every minute of every day someone needs blood and shortages of all blood types can happen during the summer.
Because the need for blood never takes a vacation and because there is no substitute for human blood, BODIES…The Exhibition, will host a blood drive on Saturday, July 17 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 1002 Dodge Street to benefit the American Red Cross. All presenting blood donors will receive free admission to view BODIES…The Exhibition.
“The blood drive gives donors an opportunity to better understand the human body’s circulatory system while the Exhibition shows them firsthand exactly what that looks like,” said April Oppliger, spokesperson for the American Red Cross Midwest Blood Services Region in Omaha. “It is a perfect fit.”
Visited by more than 15 million people in cities around the world, BODIES…The Exhibition provides an amazing up-close look at the detailed structure and function of the human bodyusing real three-dimensional human bodies that have been meticulously dissected and preserved.
