Red Cross, ABC13 and Farm Fresh Supermarkets team up

One lucky donor will receive a three minute shopping spree to Farm Fresh

Norfolk, Va., (June 11, 2014) — In an effort to boost what typically is a period of declining blood donations, Farm Fresh Supermarkets and ABC13 are partnering with the American Red Cross to provide an exciting opportunity for one blood donor.

All presenting donors at a ABC13Three Minutes to Saving Lives blood drive will automatically be entered to win a three minute Farm Fresh supermarket shopping spree. The spree will take place at a Hampton Roads Farm Fresh Supermarket location in July.

Vacations and summer activities often result in a decline in blood donations during the summer. During the months of June, July and August, about two fewer donors give blood at each Red Cross blood drive than what patients need.
