Just in Time For Tax Season Liberty Tax Offers Free Tax Preparation to American Red Cross Blood Donors in February
Massachusetts
(Dedham, MA) Liberty Tax is offering free tax preparation to any person who comes out to donate blood at American Red Cross blood drives in Massachusetts during the month of February. The tax preparation certificates are redeemable during March 2012 at participating Liberty Tax locations, and are good for both state and federal returns.
Liberty Tax is encouraging people to help make a difference in the lives of others and give blood to the Red Cross. Donated blood is used to help accident victims, trauma patients, transplant recipients, and those receiving treatment for life-threatening illnesses.
“Offering free tax preparation in February and March should motivate both eligible and first time donors to find a Red Cross blood drive near them right away,” said Ray Maagero, Area Developer, Liberty Tax. “We believe in the mission of the American Red Cross which is neighbor helping neighbor to make our community a better place.”
“During the winter months it is a difficult time for the American Red Cross to collect blood due to severe weather and flu season,” said Donna M. Morrissey, Director of Communications, American Red Cross Blood Services – Northeast Division. “We are happy to have a community partner, like Liberty Tax Service to offer this service to our donors.”
