Cumberland Farms Partners with the American Red Cross
Massachusetts
All Presenting Blood Donors Get Free Lunch Pack*
The American Red Cross and Cumberland Farms are teaming up to help increase the blood supply and raise awareness about the need for blood. During the month of March, all presenting donors at a Red Cross blood drive in Massachusetts will receive a coupon from Cumberland Farms for a free sandwich, any size fountain soda and 1.5 oz bag of chips*, redeemable at participating Cumberland Farms locations.
The promotion helps to ensure the community blood supply is maintained. Blood is an essential component for patient care in area hospitals, and the only source of blood is a healthy, volunteer blood donor. About every two seconds someone in America needs blood, and one donation can help save up to three lives.
“We’re grateful to Cumberland Farms for their willingness to offer a free lunch pack to our generous blood donors,” said Donna M. Morrissey, Director of Communications, American Red Cross Blood Services – Northeast Division. “We’re pleased to offer this special promotion as a token of our gratitude to donors who give lifesaving blood for patients in need.”
"We are proud to support the Red Cross and help raise awareness of the need for blood in area hospitals,” said Ari Haseotes, Cumberland Farms President. “Blood donation is critical in saving the lives of our neighbors and friends, and we are happy to help increase awareness of the importance of donation.”
All current and new donors are strongly urged to call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment.
