Burger King® Partners with the American Red Cross in May
All Presenting Blood Donors Get Free Whopper Value Meal* in May
The American Red Cross and Burger King® are partnering to help increase the blood supply and raise awareness about the need for blood. During the month of May, all presenting blood donors in New England will receive a coupon from Burger King® for a free WHOPPER® Small Value Meal*, redeemable at participating Burger King® locations.
The promotion helps to ensure the community blood supply is maintained. Blood is an essential component for patient care in area hospitals, and the only source of blood is a healthy, volunteer blood donor. About every two seconds someone in America needs blood, and one donation can help save up to three lives.
“We’re grateful to Burger King for their willingness to offer a Whooper Value Meal to our generous blood donors,” said Donna M. Morrissey, Director of Communications, American Red Cross Blood Services – Northeast Division. “We’re confident this partnership with Burger King will increase awareness about the need for blood and we’re pleased to offer this special promotion as a token of our gratitude to donors who give lifesaving blood for patients in need.”
All current and new donors are strongly urged to call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment.
