Red Cross, Pacific Shaving Co. Celebrate Earth Month
Eco-friendly company offers incentive to donors
Lansing, MI –The American Red Cross, in partnership with Pacific Shaving Company are celebrating Earth Month in the Great Lakes Region by providing everyone who comes out to donate blood this April with a free sample of the company’s eco-friendly shaving oil.
“We have worked with other Red Cross regions and strongly believe in the work they do,” said Stan Ades, President of Pacific Shaving Company and blood donor for more than 20 years. “We are proud to partner with the Red Cross to offer their blood donors a gift of thanks for giving the gift of life.”
Pacific Shaving Company, based inSan Francisco, began in 2002 with a clear goal: to radically improve the shaving experience. The result is a line of natural, eco-friendly and affordable shaving essentials that break through the barriers that give shaving a bad name. The company believes in shaving products that are good for the skin, good for the wallet and good for the earth.
The Red Cross has long celebrated Earth Month and encourages its donors to be environmentally conscientious.
“A partnership with Pacific Shaving Company is a great fit. Blood is truly a renewable resource that can help those in need,” says Sharon Jaksa, CEO for the Great Lakes Blood Services of the American Red Cross. “Since there is no manufactured substitute for blood, we encourage all eligible donors to make an appointment to donate as often as they can.”
This spring, the American Red Cross is asking you to help “recycle life” by giving blood. The Red Cross also encourages individuals to save energy, water and other natural resources as our nation continues to embrace “going green” through eco-friendly practices.
In addition to receiving a free sample of Pacific Shaving’s all natural shaving oil, everyone who comes out to donate blood in April has a chance to win free groceries for March ($250 value), courtesy of Meijer. Pacific Shaving products are now available at select Meijer stores throughout Michigan.
