Moravian Church, American Red Cross
Team up to help save lives
Unionville, MI – Moravian Church has joined forces with the American Red Cross to host a special holiday blood drive on Tuesday, May 31. This blood drive will help the Red Cross refuel the blood supply just in time for the summer months and honor Memorial Day.
“I‘ve always wanted to volunteer,” said Ken Holmberg, American Red Cross blood drive coordinator for Moravian Church. “I like to be involved as much as possible with my local community and church while also helping the Red Cross.”
The need for blood is constant. Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. However, generally less than 5% of the population gives blood on a regular basis.
All presenting donors at this drive have an opportunity to win a pair of Michigan International Speedway tickets for the June 17 race. Help the Red Cross refuel the nation’s blood supply on Tuesday, May 31 from 1:00 to 6:45 p.m., at 2711 Cass Street Unionville, MI.
