Eligible Donors Asked to Support Everyday Heroes By Being One Too

Battle Creek, MI Battle Creek-area fire and police departments are joining forces once again for the 5th Annual Battle Creek Battle of the Badges Blood Challenge, Friday, September 23. You can honor our everyday heroes by becoming a hero yourself.

“We are so excited to host this blood drive again this year,” said Loretta McCarthy, Donor Recruitment Representative for the American Red Cross.  “This is a great way to honor our local heroes, who put their lives at risk every day to help save lives, by donating blood to help save lives.”

The Battle of the Badges Blood Challenge, which is a  friendly competition between local fire and police departments, will be held 12 – 5:45 p.m., Friday, September 23 at the Fire Station #1 (195 East Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek).

Every person who comes out to donate at this event will receive a special Battle of the Badges t-shirt and will have the opportunity to win free groceries for a month ($250 value) from Meijer.
