American Red Cross Teams Up With Restaurant.Com: Partnership Will Support Local Restaurants and Help Save Lives During National Dine Out Week
The American Red Cross today announced a promotional partnership with Restaurant.com, the leading provider of restaurant savings nationwide. National Dine Out Week, founded to celebrate dining out, dining local and helping to save lives, is on now through April 29. All presenting donors at participating blood drives will receive a $25 gift card to Restaurant.com. When the gift cards are redeemed on the website, Restaurant.com will make an additional financial gift to the Red Cross.
“We’re excited to announce the launch of National Dine Out Week, Restaurant.com’s first holiday, dedicated to supporting our own partner restaurants while helping the Red Cross save lives,” said Restaurant.com President and Chief Marketing Officer Christopher Krohn. “We hope to fill nearly 200,000 restaurant tables in local communities nationwide as a result of the efforts of National Dine Out Week.”
In an effort to fill tables and support local restaurants across the country, Restaurant.com will also make a donation to the Red Cross every time consumers:
- Purchase a Restaurant.com Gift Certificate for use at a neighborhood favorite
- Visit a local restaurant and share their dining experience during National Dine Out Week with Restaurant.com
- Share National Dine Out Week with friends on Facebook
- Tweet about local dining plans during National Dine Out Week using #DineLocal
- Text DINELOCAL to 78166
“We’re honored to team up with Restaurant.com for this generous cause,” said Alan Gibson, Greater Ozarks-Arkansas Region Communications Manager. “We admire Restaurant.com’s mission to support local restaurants, while helping the Red Cross reach its goal of helping to save lives in our community”
