For the second year, the American Red Cross is launching “Gifts that Save the Day,” a holiday giving campaign that inspires people to make a gift that can save the day for those in need. Now more than ever, we all want to give gifts that really matter. Support the generous spirit of someone on your holiday gift list by making a gift on their behalf to support the Red Cross mission. Here are some heart-warming examples from the American Red Cross holiday giving catalog:
- $100 provides five telephone cards to deployed service members
- $50 provides refreshments for blood donors at two blood drives
- $30 provides blankets for five disaster victims

Gifts made through the catalog are contributions toward a Red Cross program area, not a donation to a specific project or item. The donations will be used to provide assistance where it is needed most within the program area.
