Franklin Elementary Students to Visit Red Cross
Red Cross Club to find out where fundraising money goes.

Red Cross Field Trip for Franklin Elementary Red Cross Club

11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.         
                  
WHO:
The Red Cross Club from Franklin Elementary School (up to 12 students) will visit American Red Cross – Blood Services to learn about what the Red Cross does.
 
The students will be taken on a tour including hospital services where blood is prepared for distribution to Tulsa for processing or made ready to distribute to more than 100 hospitals throughout Kansas.
 
Students will be able to watch as Sam Crawford, Education, gives blood. Then Melissa Crawford, from the Midway-Kansas Chapter, will share with students about Red Cross’ activities in Haiti.
 
This group of students is currently raising funds for Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti by selling chocolate Hearts for Haiti.
