NBC 4 and WNCI help boost blood supply in the New Year!
On January 6, NBC 4 and WNCI challenged Central Ohio to roll up their sleeve and give blood in the new year at the American Red Cross Blood Give-In at the Aladdin Shrine Center.
The event is strategically scheduled for right after the New Year because that is when a dip in donations usually occurs. The blood drive event helps give a vital boost to the blood supply right when it is needed for patients.
The goal of the drive was 300 donations, but it ended with 371 donations for patients! Those who came to give could enjoy a number of treats including a red long-sleeved T-shirt, food from Panera Bread and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, and coupons from Graeter’s Ice Cream.
