Be an EXTREME blood donor with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition – hit TV show comes to Columbus

The hit ABC-TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is coming to Columbus this summer for an episode and is partnering with the American Red Cross.  The lives of one central Ohio family will change through the show, and the community is invited to participate by attending a blood drive in honor of helping those in need. 

Three Red Cross blood drives will be held in conjunction with Extreme Makeover Home Edition being in Columbus, Ohio, supported by the show and by the local home builder P&D Builders, LTD. 

You can be an EXTREME blood donor by coming to give blood at one of these event locations:

  • Thursday, July 28:  Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Pep Rally, from 4 - 9 p.m. at Grace Brethren Church,  8225 Worthington Galena Rd.  Westerville, OH 43081.  For more details on this event CLICK HERE. 
  • Saturday, August 6:  from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Build site volunteer check in location at 737 East Hudson St. Columbus, OH 43211.   
  • Sunday, August 7:  from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.  Build site volunteer check in location at 737 East Hudson St. Columbus, OH 43211.

The Red Cross has a total goal of 300 blood donors at these three drives to help local patients, so come watch the amazing construction on the house and participate by being an EXTREME blood donor!  Those who come to donate can:

  • Receive an exclusive Extreme Makeover: Home Edition T-shirt.
  • Watch the amazing construction on the home.

About ABC-TVs Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (Sunday 8/7c on ABC)
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which has won back-to-back Emmy Awards as Best Reality Program (non-competitive), is in its 8th season on ABC.  Each episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is self-contained and features a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take at least four months, involving a team of designers, contractors and several hundred workers who have just seven days (one week for the actual construction) to rebuild an entire house – every room, the exterior and landscaping.
