Drive to Honor Missing Woman
Arizona Blood Services Region
TUCSON, AZ (August 21, 2012) —The Arizona Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross is holding a blood drive in honor of missing person Kay F. Read on August 26 at the Broadway Donor Center, 7139 E. Broadway, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Read was abducted from her Tucson home and has been missing since February 15, 2008.
Prior to her disappearance, Read was a frequent blood donor with more than nine gallons of donations. Her family members have been hosting blood drives in her honor since 2009. August 26 marks Read's 67th birthday.
All those who attempt to donate blood will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $100 movie theater gift certificate, a movie ticket four-pack, and a $2,500 dream vacation. For more information and a list of official rules, visit redcrossblood.org/summerfun.
Donor eligibility involves minimum age, weight and health requirements. Donors must present a donor card, driver's license or two other forms of ID prior to donation. Individuals unable to donate blood can still make a contribution by sponsoring a Red Cross blood drive or volunteering with a local Red Cross Blood Services Region, making a financial contribution, or by learning more about the American Red Cross Humanitarian Services.
Our First-Time Donor section includes information about what to expect when giving blood, tips for a successful donation, and an explanation of what happens to your donated blood.
