Volunteer Team Leader/Scheduler
Location
Volunteers may perform work from home or at Philadelphia Office
Purpose
Provide leadership for volunteer involvement in blood services programs
Key Responsibilities
- Willingness to support Red Cross Mission
- Assist in recruitment, training, scheduling, support and recognition of volunteers in Blood Services
- Up-date and maintain records of volunteer services
- With Senior Managers, develop and implement goals and objectives for volunteers as needed
- Attend relevant meetings and communicate pertinent information to appropriate persons
- Serve as liaison between volunteers and staff
Relationships
Various levels of American Red Cross staff, paid and volunteer
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years
- High level leadership and organizational skills
- Willing to be a creative team member
- Computer literacy helpful but not required
Training
- Orientation to American Red Cross Penn-Jersey Blood Services Region
- American Red Cross Blood Services Training
- Volunteer Leadership Academy
- Training updates as required
Length of Appointment
One year. Renewable
Time Commitment
4 – 8 hours/week (determined by number of volunteers and blood drives)
