2012 Altoona Platelet Donor Recognition Dinner

More than five dozen platelet donors were recognized at the Greater Alleghenies Region's annual Altoona platelet donor recognition dinner, held Tuesday, October 30, at the Blair County Convention Center.

Special guests included the Bettwy family of Duncansville. Jeff, Kim, Nate, Abby and Eliana Bettwy shared reflections on Nate’s experience as a blood recipient while being treated for leukemia (Nate is the son of Jeff and Kim and brother of Abby and Eliana).
