This is a fun program for you - our dedicated students. The American Red Cross believes that, with your support, we will be better equipped to meet the blood needs of the patients in our community!
To qualify for the scholarship drawings, a student must plan and organize a blood drive within the Southeast Division (Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi Gulf Coast, portions of Florida and portions of Tennessee) of the American Red Cross that collects a minimum of 50 units of blood ($2,000 scholarship drawing - 4 total, one per region) or a drive that collects a minimum of 35 units of blood ($1,000 scholarship drawing- 4 total, one per region) from volunteer donors.
BloodStock drives will be held in two periods: May 1 through August 31, 2012 and December 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013. American Red Cross will have a drawing for scholarships for any student that plans and organizes a successful BloodStock blood drive! To qualify for the scholarship drawings, a student must plan and organize a blood drive that collects a minimum of 50 units of blood ($2,000 scholarship) or a drive that collects a minimum of 35 units of blood ($1,000 scholarship) from volunteer donors. $2,000 Scholarship
This is a drawing for student volunteers who plan and organize a blood drive between May 1 and August 31, 2011 that collects a minimum of 50 units of blood from volunteer donors. The winner will be drawn from those applicants that meet the
$2,000 Scholarship Criteria
1. Find a blood drive location with the help of your American Red Cross Account Manager.
2. Attend face-to-face planning meeting(s) with your American Red Cross Account Manager.
3. Recruit and schedule at least 65 blood donors from friends, family and potential past donor lists supplied by the American Red Cross. Help recruit volunteers to assist at the blood drive (greeters, canteen).
4. Be at the blood drive for the entire drive.
$1,000 Scholarship
This is a drawing for student volunteers who plan and organize a blood drive between May 1 and August 31, 2011 that collects a minimum of 35 units of blood from volunteer donors. One scholarship will be awarded. (Note: If 50 or more units are collected during the summer period, the student volunteers qualify for the $2,000 scholarship drawing). The winner will be drawn from those applicants that meet the $1,000 criteria.
$1,000 Scholarship Criteria
1. Find a blood drive location with the help of your American Red Cross Account Manager.
2. Attend face-to-face planning meeting(s) with your American Red Cross Account Manager.
3. Recruit and schedule at least 46 blood donors from friends, family and potential past donor lists supplied by the American Red Cross. Help recruit volunteers to assist at the blood drive (greeters, canteen).
4. Be at the blood drive for the entire drive.
