The "Ambassadors for Life" program offers donors and non-donors alike the opportunity to recruit other first-time donors. By helping the Red Cross reach out to the eligible population that does not donate blood, you can be a hero to the hospital patients (and their families) that rely on a safe and adequate blood supply when they need it most.

 

"Ambassadors for Life" is a grassroots recruitment program developed in response to the ever-growing need for new blood donors, due in large part to tremendous medical advances that have resulted in more lifesaving procedures that require blood components. You see, most of us will either need blood at some time in our life, or know a friend or loved one that will need blood. That's why we need your help, whether you are currently a donor, used to be a donor, or have never donated before.

 

Simply by reaching out to your personal contact base – your friends, family and neighbors – you can influence people in a way we often can't. The number one reason people don't donate blood is because they are never asked. That's where you come in. YOU are the most powerful partner we have!

 

So how does the program work? Just enroll below as an "Ambassador for Life" and we will send you a special Ambassadors Toolkit in the form of a PDF file. This toolkit contains sample letters, e-mails, and other materials that you can utilize to invite others to give the "Gift of Life". Just insert your contact information below and away you go.
