PINT FOR A PINT BLOOD DRIVE
American Red Cross and Blue Bell Creameries Team-up to Encourage People to Help Save Lives
ATLANTA– It may be cold outside, but we think you’ll agree that it’s never too cold for ice cream! The American Red Cross has once again partnered with Blue Bell Creameries to offer donors a sweet treat in return for helping to save lives this winter.
Everyone who participates in giving blood or platelets at any metro Atlanta blood donation center on February 14 or 15 will receive a coupon for a free pint of Blue Bell Ice Cream. Participants at the Cobb blood donation center in Marietta and Midtown blood donation center in Atlanta will have their choice of a coupon or a free pint of their favorite Blue Bell Ice Cream flavor to enjoy on the spot. The coupons can be redeemed at any store that sells Blue Bell Ice Cream.
“The pint for a pint event is Blue Bell’s way of helping the Red Cross to get people to give blood during specific need periods,” said Scott Evans, Regional Manager, Blue Bell Creameries. “Blue Bell is a big supporter of the Pint for a Pint program, and orchestrates similar events throughout the country. We’re committed to helping the Red Cross in the Atlanta area maintain a healthy and stable community blood supply and the Pint for a Pint program has proven to be successful in achieving these goals in the past,” added Evans. “This is one small way that Blue Bell can help with the wonderful work done by the American Red Cross.”
