Hospital Services Technician I/II
Job Duties: Provide customer assistance in ordering blood products and supplies to maintain hospital inventory and return blood products within regulatory definitions. Comply with safety policies and procedures in the work area and use applicable protective equipment at all times to prevent exposure to potentially infectious blood and body fluids. Receive routine orders for a variety of blood and pharmaceutical products and transfusion-related supplies. Assist hospital personnel with inventory alternatives when requested products are unavailable within established guidelines and procedures that assist the customers and the patient. May investigate and resolve hospital shipment problems. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One year prior experience in blood banking distribution and customer service is preferred. Must have computer experience and good customer service skills.

Technical Assistant III – Component Lab – Internal Candidates Only
Job Duties: Prepare blood components. Maintain manual and computer records associated with production or testing. Comply with safety policies and procedures in the work area and use applicable protective equipment at all times to prevent exposure to potentially infectious blood and body fluids. At the direction of supervisor, perform complex laboratory services, component reconciliation, production record review, according to established procedures. Perform component supervisory functions associated with component manufacturing and processing. Act as a resource for other laboratory services staff regarding component production, quarantine and labeling, equipment quality control, and waste management of blood products. Perform routine tasks in accordance with established standard operating procedures under limited supervision. Serve as team or shift leader assisting in the training and/or mentoring of other laboratory services staff. Qualifications: Minimum two years of college studies or technical training in science or medical technology or the equivalent is preferred. Successful performance as a Component Technician II or equivalent experience in a laboratory or manufacturing setting preferred.

EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT AND VALIDATION
Biomedical Equipment Technician – Internal Candidates Only
Job Duties: Assemble, repair and maintain all types of biomedical equipment to ensure that equipment functions properly and safely. Diagnose cause of electronic or mechanical malfunction or failure of electronic monitoring and control equipment and repair malfunction or failure. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment. Qualifications: Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent preferred. Two years of related repair experience is required. Advanced knowledge of electrical circuitry, common test equipment, tools and service manuals is required. Basic writing, communications and computer skills required. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.

Administrative Assistant II – Internal Candidates Only
Job Duties: Perform a variety of standard, advanced and confidential secretarial and administrative duties. Main Tulsa contact for Maximo. Generate, close and fill preventive and corrective maintenance job orders. Maintain computer-based and paper files. File and retrieve required material, establish new folders and sections as needed and periodically purge files of outdated materials. Comply with all CFR, Blood Services Directives, RSP, Blood Services Letters, Local Operating Procedures and Exposure Control Plan policies and procedures as well as all Red Cross philosophies, structures, policies and procedures. Function as a member of a team to ensure smooth and efficient collection process. Qualifications: Previous apheresis/phlebotomy experience preferred. Collections Technician I
Job Duties: Provide donor care during the collection of blood units. Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive, professional image of the American Red Cross Biomedical Services. Perform phases of blood collection and donor care according to BSDs, ARCBS directives, the Code of Federal Regulations and local policies and procedures to ensure safe product and optimum donor experience. Assemble and maintain supplies and equipment to ensure a state of readiness. Function with team effort to ensure smooth and efficient blood collection process. Operate ARC vehicles in compliance with applicable regulations. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant or phlebotomy training is preferred. Donor Services Manager
Job Duties: Manage the collection operation for mobile and fixed site allogeneic and specialized blood products (e.g., pheresis, autologous, directed) to ensure the achievement of annual goals in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible. Establish and oversee implementation of staffing and deployment policies and ensure the development of local operating policies and procedures. Assist in Board/Committee level planning, analyze and remedy efficiency issues and ensure training in and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Establish and oversee deployment of appropriate staffing levels to ensure the efficient and effective collection of blood and blood products to meet annual collection goals and regional patient need. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing, management, related field, or equivalent is required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum six years of related experience including 3 years of management experience is required. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively, analyze problems and implement appropriate solutions, and assimilate information quickly. Ability to work independently while developing functioning teams among staff. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to deal with all levels of staff, hospital personnel, physicians, volunteers and donors.
