Donor Recruitment Representative (Grade 7) Full-Time
Plan and implement effective strategies to recruit and retain donor groups who will sponsor collection operations, work to achieve established blood collection goals, and ensure sufficient numbers of specialized donors (may include, but not limited to 2RBC, type O, apheresis, bone marrow, plasma, stem cell) to meet program needs. Develop potential group leads. Educate donor group chairmen in organizational requirements. Provide ongoing support to donor groups and implement appropriate special donor recruitment programs. Provide follow-up record keeping and recognition. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Responsible for recruitment of annual allogeneic blood collections and/or one or more specialized donor segments to meet organizational need. Lead and evaluate the work of volunteers within assigned groups/chapters. Requires moderate daily supervision and coordination. Plan own work and set priorities within guidelines. Actions and decisions are based on precedent, organizational need and good judgment. Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications, related field, or equivalent required. Minimum two years of experience in direct sales or marketing preferred. Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including training and presentation skills is required. A current valid driver's license, good driving record is required. Primarily weekday schedule with weeknights & weekends as needed to support blood drive events.
