Nashville Zoo Blood Drive!
Tennessee Valley
Walk with the Animals, Talk with the Animals, Donate Blood
Nashville Zoo at Grassmere Sponsors Red Cross Blood Drive
How does a winter walk through the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere sound to you? What? You’re not a polar bear?
No need to worry. You won’t be alone. The cooler temperatures are appealing to many zoo animals, including cougars, Bengal tigers, zebras, elands and red pandas.
While you’re walking and talking with the animals, consider giving blood with the American Red Cross. The winter months are a bear for blood collections, but when it comes to the blood supply we don’t monkey around. The need is constant and you can help.
You are invited to give blood on Monday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere (Gallery Room) located at 3777 Nolensville Road in Nashville.
To schedule an appointment, log on to redcrossblood.org and enter code: NashvilleZoo
All presenting blood donors receive one free zoo admission and the chance to win a $1,000 Gift Card as part of the American Red Cross Give Something That Means Something campaign.
It’s said that elephants never forget. Be an elephant this holiday season and remember to help save up to three lives by giving blood with the Red Cross.
