Red Cross and Local Media Partner to Save Lives This Holiday

Give something that means something this holiday. Bypass braving the holiday shopping crowds, the perfect gift can be found at your nearest American Red Cross blood drive or blood donation center. And, unlike the latest fashion trend, video game or piece of jewelry, this gift costs nothing but your time. When you donate blood or platelets, you give the perfect gift – another hug, another laugh, another smile, another chance- to someone in need.

The holidays are a historically tough time for the American Red Cross to collect blood and platelet donations. People are focused on holiday preparations, children are out of school, and families get out of their daily routine and forget to make an appointment to donate blood.

This holiday, the Red Cross is partnering with local media to help save lives throughout the community.

Please visit the Nashville Donor Blood Center at 2201 Charlotte Ave. to donate blood or platelets during Holiday Donor Days.

All presenting donors will receive a Red Cross t-shirt AND will be automatically entered to win a $1,000 American Express gift card as well as a tablet valued at $500!
